From the oldest Sultana Vineyard in the country planted in 1926 – Sultana are known to be dried for raisons. This is a fortified wine with full sweet flavours of raisons-the proof is in the pudding.

John Montagu Brandy

In 1851 the village of Montagu, Western gateway to the Little Karoo, was named after Colonial Secretary of the Cape, John Montagu. Believing in expansion through access, he inspired the construction of several mountain passes by the brilliant engineer Thomas Bain. Constructed in 1877 the Bain Tunnel is an important landmark of this historic Cogman’s Kloof Pass between Montagu and Ashton.ney.
